    Wilmington’s rink: Polar Ice Wilmington

    Wilmington has a pretty small ice skating scene with just a single local rink, Polar Ice Wilmington. Polar Ice Wilmington boasts an expansive 30,000 square-foot NHL regulation sized ice surface, proudly serving as the home arena for the nationally ranked UNCW Hockey Team. Visitors can enjoy a plethora of open skate sessions, and the facility also offers year-round introductory skating lessons as well as figure skating classes. Additionally, the Pro Shop provides a comprehensive range of offerings, from the latest in skating gear and attire to convenient skate rentals and repair services.

    Admission Prices

    Before arriving be sure to check the rink calendar to see what events and other activities might be happening.

    • Admission 6 & Older: $10 per skater
    • Admission + Skate Rental 6 & Older: $15 per skater
    • Admission 5 & Under: $5 per skater (includes skate rental if needed)
    • Sled Rental (Skating Assistant): $4 per sled
